D.E.A.F. Deaf Expressive Arts Festival
American Sign Language students from Casper College, Kelly Walsh High School, and Dean Morgan Middle School, as well as local deaf community members, will be presenting a variety of expressive art at the Wheeler Concert Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. “ASL is not only used in everyday conversations, but artistic forms of ASL have played an important role in transmitting Deaf history and culture throughout generations,” said Gail Schenfisch. John de Vries (1916-2009) made his living as a commercial artist in Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, but his real passion was watercolor painting, pencil sketching, and pen and ink drawing. The artist's daughter, and former Casper College employee, Janet de Vries, will present on her father's work. Following the lecture, Casper College music faculty will perform a variety of Americana selections.

A fall concert that features the Casper College Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Jennifer Cowell-DePaolo. The program will consist of a variety of musical compositions that range from the Baroque Era through compositions of the 21st century.
